Arizona

Arizona

Arizona has a song called “Doom”. That was enough to convince me to give them a listen. They’re actually really great though! Doom starts out with the question, “You won’t stand still. So why should the world?” Deep, right? I’m not going to lie. It’s hard for me to find good bands in Indianapolis. I’m not saying they don’t exist. Maybe I just haven’t found the right places yet. However, Arizona is really good.

They have this live album called “Arizona – On Air” where I found the recording of Doom. You can download the whole eighteen tracks for two dollars. I think you can actually  get it for free too though if you download everything separately. I’d encourage you to buy something from these guys though if you’re into buying music. Call them and tell them to come play in your town if you aren’t.

“Some Kind Of Chill” is probably my favorite. This guy has a really cool voice. The instrumentation on this track is really cool too. It’s sort of southern, but in a really great way. I’m from Nashville, and there’s a lot of disgusting southern music. This isn’t it. this is tasteful and beautiful. Most people probably wouldn’t even call this southern anyway. There are some really great harmonies! Then it goes into this cool bridge section. This is a very solid track. Solid enough to include two versions on this album in fact. Normally I’d call that excessive, but I listened to both of them and enjoyed it. Great job guys!
